Preparation before the auction.

1. Consign your vehicle: We bring the items up for sale on a first come, first auctioned basis. So consign early. It is in your best interest to get your item to us before the auction. Yes, you could bring your bike the morning of the auction for consignment. However, you would be missing out on our advertising program.

2. Have your title: You MUST bring your title. The title must be in your name, verified with a driver's license that has your photo. The VIN numbers must match the title exactly. No title means your item will not be accepted for sale. No exceptions! You must also produce a current Certificate of Insurance.

3. Make sure you vehicle is running. Is there gas in the tank and is the battery charged? Don't let your moment in the spotlight be dimmed by not having gas in the tank or it will not start because of a dead battery. Bring along your maintained records, oil changes, new tires receipt, etc. A buyer wants to know.

4. Reserve: There are two ways to sell, reserve and no reserve. No Reserve means that your vehicle will be sold, regardless of the bid offer. Typically a no reserve item generates a higher, more frenzied level of bidding. Why? Because the buyers know the item is going to be sold to the highest bidder. A reserve price locks the sale to obtain a minimum price for your item. By contract the auctioneer cannot sell your item for a price below the agreed upon reserve. For example, if the bidding goes to $4,999 and the reserve is $5,000, the item cannot be sold. Ride Again Auctions reserves the right to reject unreasonable pricing. Make your decision carefully. We are here to help, so do not hesitate to ask for assistance.

Honesty is the best policy: Do not hide anything from Ride Again Auctions or a potential buyer. Do not make any representations about facts you are unsure of. A serious buyer will appreciate your honesty. A false claim by you will compromise your integrity and possibly the sale.

Be Accessible: If a buyer wants to know something about your item, it is in your best interest to be there to answer questions.

Detail your Item: Make it stand out, clean your unit, polish it. We have installed special lights on the stage of the auction to make the colors sparkle. However, if it is not clean, the lights will show the dirt.

Remain with your item: There are always last minute questions a buyer may have. Be prepared!

Cross the block with your Item: We strongly recommend that you are present at the auction block. Situations may arise on the block that require your attention. You have worked hard getting your vehicle to this point. This is your moment to shine in the sun, take advantage of it!!!

Do not be afraid to ask: An auction can be an intimidating process. Make sure to ask us questions. Our goal is to sell your item and in return we have a satisfied customer. Please keep in mind this statement. Auctioning of your item is a team effort. Regardless of the size, reputation or location control everything that may occur. You, the consignor must be a willing participant and you are an integral part of the process. Ride Again Auctions cannot guarantee success, but as a team we can optimize the chances for a successful sale at top dollar.

After the Sale: Your vehicle is sold and all the paperwork is filed, funds are transferred. This takes some time. Our goal is to have your funds in your hand within 20 banking days of the sale.
